We employ an open research model that benefits from collaboration and fosters integrity within a talented team of international researchers. By attracting the world’s most distinguished minds with our pioneering research, we are able to tackle seemingly impossible problems, from physical warp travel to low-cost DIY life-saving innovations. At Applied Physics, we know our ability to improve humanity is only limited by our imagination and passion. We are privately funded and require no outside capital as our work sustains itself. Therefore, we have no red tape, politics, or archaic structures to impede us. By working with us, you become part of a vetted group of scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs delivering high-impact global solutions.
Every Friday at noon, we host Technical Global Innovation Fridays (TGIF), a time when we pause our work to come together as a team to invent and think of ideas to improve life on Earth. Current problems we’re addressing include reducing infant mortality, pollution, ending West African debt slavery through DIY tech — or perhaps one day a problem of your choice. If your project has the potential to scale, we will fully fund it for further development. We work for the public interest and thus invest resources in open-source patents to address pressing issues in developing nations.
By working with us, you become part of a select group of scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs delivering high-impact global solutions. We hire slowly and filter out problematic egos to offer a high-functioning supportive environment. We also offer generous equity compensation along with respect and appreciation. If you are interested in joining Applied Physics, please email us your CV to: Create at Applied Physics dot org, and tell us how you want to change the world. You can always go back to your tenure position, but you can never go back to make history.
